Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 23/8/2026

1. Cancellations

You may cancel an order free of charge at any time before it has been dispatched. Once a parcel has been handed to our courier it can no longer be cancelled, and the return terms below apply instead.

To cancel, contact us with your order number as soon as possible.

2. Returns on food products

We sell natural, minimally processed agricultural goods. Once food has left our warehouse we cannot resell it, so we do not accept returns for a change of mind, for an incorrect quantity ordered, or because a product did not suit your preference.

You are entitled to a refund or a replacement where:

  • the product arrived damaged, spoiled, infested or leaking;
  • the seal or packaging was broken on arrival;
  • you received the wrong item or the wrong weight;
  • the product was past, or too close to, its use-by date on arrival.

3. Reporting window

Report any issue within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the product and its packaging, including the batch label.

We ask for this window because spoilage claims on food cannot be assessed fairly once the goods have been stored elsewhere for several days. Requests made after 48 hours can only be considered at our discretion.

4. How a refund works, step by step

Refunds are handled personally rather than through an automated button, so that a real person checks the goods before money moves. There are four steps.

Step 1 — Tell us. Email grameencart.in@gmail.com or call +91 99749 01902 within the reporting window above, quoting your order number and attaching photographs. We will confirm whether the claim is accepted before you send anything back.

Step 2 — Send the goods back. Once we have confirmed, post the product, in its original packaging, to our warehouse:

> Grameen Cart — Returns > Bavla, Dist. Ahmedabad, > Gujarat 382220 > Phone: +91 99749 01902

Write your order number clearly on the parcel. Keep the courier receipt until your refund has been paid — without it we cannot trace a parcel that does not arrive.

Step 3 — Send your account details. After the parcel reaches us and we have inspected it, email your bank details for the transfer: account holder name, account number, and IFSC code. Please send these only after we confirm the goods have arrived.

Step 4 — We pay. The refund is transferred manually once we have both the returned goods and your account details.

5. Who pays return shipping

  • If the fault is ours — damaged, spoiled, wrong or short-shipped goods — we cover the return cost, or waive the return entirely where the goods are unsafe to send back. You pay nothing.
  • If the fault is not ours — for example an order refused at the door, an address that could not be delivered to, or a return we have agreed to as a goodwill exception — the cost of returning the goods to our warehouse is yours.

Original delivery charges are refunded only when the fault is ours.

6. Refund method and timing

Refunds are paid by bank transfer to an account in the name of the person who placed the order. We cannot pay a refund to a third party's account.

  • We aim to transfer within 5 to 7 working days of receiving both the returned goods and your account details. Your bank may take a further 3 to 5 working days to show it.
  • The clock starts when the goods reach us, not when you post them.

We will never ask for your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or any password. If you receive such a request claiming to be from us, it is not from us — please report it to the email above.

7. Orders outside our delivery area

We deliver within 30 km of our Bavla warehouse. If an order is placed for an address outside that area and cannot be fulfilled, it is cancelled and refunded in full, with no deduction and nothing to return.

8. Getting in touch

Email grameencart.in@gmail.com or call +91 99749 01902 with your order number. Keep the product and its packaging until the claim is settled.
