Common questions

Where does Grameen Cart deliver?
We deliver within 30 km of our warehouse in Bavla, Gujarat. The radius is deliberate: grain reaches you soon after it is packed rather than sitting in transit. If your PIN code falls outside the zone, checkout will tell you and you can leave your details so we contact you when we reach your area.
What does Grameen Cart sell?
Single-origin Indian staples: grains such as Bhalia wheat and Krishna Kamod rice, pulses including toor, moong and chana dal, millets, cold-pressed groundnut oil, and stone-ground spices. Each product lists its origin region and farming method.
How is this different from buying staples at a supermarket?
Every item is traceable to the region and, where possible, the families who farm it. Products are single-origin rather than blended from multiple sources, which is why a specific region appears on the label instead of a generic grade.
How do I track my order?
Once your order ships you receive a tracking number by email, and it also appears on the order in your account. Tracking is handled through Shiprocket, so the courier's own updates are what you see.
What is the return and refund policy for food?
Report any issue within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the product, its packaging and the batch label. The window exists because spoilage claims on food cannot be assessed fairly once goods have been stored elsewhere for several days. Refunds are handled personally: you contact us, we confirm the claim, you post the goods back to our warehouse in Bavla, and once they arrive you send your bank details for the transfer.
Who pays for return shipping?
If the fault is ours - damaged, spoiled, wrong or short-shipped goods - we cover the return cost, and your original delivery charge is refunded too. If the fault is not ours, such as an order refused at the door or an address that could not be delivered to, the cost of posting the goods back is yours and the original delivery charge is not refunded.
How long does a refund take?
We aim to transfer within 5 to 7 working days of receiving both the returned goods and your bank details, and your bank may take a further 3 to 5 working days to show it. The clock starts when the goods reach us, not when you post them. Refunds are paid by bank transfer to an account in the name of the person who placed the order. We never ask for a card number, CVV, UPI PIN or password.
What payment methods can I use?
Payments are processed by Razorpay, which accepts UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking and popular wallets. Card details are entered on Razorpay's own secure checkout and are never stored by Grameen Cart.
Do I need an account to order?
Yes. An account lets you track deliveries, reorder in one step and save addresses so future checkouts are shorter. You can sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code, with an email and password, or with Google.
